Artist's Comments

Saw this on my way home from the skate park after a hard night of skateboarding. I was literally dripping with sweat and I was so exhausted from skating but, I just could not pass up this perfect moment for a photo. I hope you like it.

Edit: I toned down the blue a little bit and made the photo warmer.

I don't know why the photo will not show up correctly now but, try downloading the image to see it at full size. Ugh... DeviantArt and it's bugs.

Edit #2: Had to re-upload the image because DeviantArt messed it up somehow and the full size preview was not working for me. How lame is that? Anyways... please check it out now... it's a lot better at a larger size!

This is a pretty good shot. I like the composition a lot and your perspective is really good. My only suggestion would be to maybe warm up the colors a bit. The blue cast in the clouds and background trees is a bit intense. What was your white balance set to?

My white balance was set to Auto but, I can try warming it up in photoshop a little bit. Thanks.

Really a clean shot and extremely well composed....why f5 though??? Step down to f9 or f11......yer shot will be sharper then :) Awesome color and tone, honestly one of, if not your very best!

Thank you very much. I really liked the composition as well. To tell you the truth... I did almost no planning on this shot. I saw it out my car window and I immediately pulled over and I didn't have my tripod with me. So I stood on a stone structure that was there and the sun was fading fast. So since I didn't have my tripod, I used the largest aperture available because the light was pretty low. I also had to use bracketed exposures to capture all three HDR images handheld. So considering all of that, I think it came out very very very good because I could not see misaligned images or ghosting... so I'm stoked. I'm glad you like it and thanks for adding it to favs.

By the way, I got away with using a low ISO (200) because of image stabilization on my lens... that lens rocks in low light situations... images come out way less grainy.

:) Ya A/S rocks! It really has saved my life quite a few times! You know what ya need....a sandbag for yer cam! These are like lil bean bags but for cameras, where you can set the cam on for a steady surface. Also, check out Gorilla Tripods......I am seriously thinking of getting myself one of those.......lifesaver!

On me dit que nos vies ne valent pas grand chose
On me dit que l’destin se moque bien de nous
Qu’il ne nous donne rien et qu’il nous promet tout...
serait-ce possible alors?
